I logged onto www.totalalarmsystems.com and looked into getting an alarm system before we went away for the holidays. We had never really thought about getting an alarm system until several houses only about five years away from our home recently were broken into. They stole electronics and any type of metal that they could melt down. That included priceless family jewelry and silver sets that had been passed down for generations. All of the houses that had gotten hit didn’t have an alarm system. We usually head out of town to my parents house for the holidays. I think that getting an alarm system that is connected to the police department will really give me a sense of peace when I am out of town. My parents live on the East Coast, and us on the West Coast. We will be really far away from home, but if anything should happen, we would find out and a neighbor could help us. I also think that it will help to deter criminals from the get go.
